Alpha-Dog Pest Control

Our Pest Control Process

Every job here runs the same way, and none of it is complicated. You call and reach a person, not a queue. We either come out and look first or put you straight on the schedule, depending on whether you already know what you have. We treat for the pest you actually have, and we tell you what we found before we leave. Bed bug jobs end with an outside canine team confirming the work, and that clearance is what starts the 30-day warranty on them.Every job here runs the same way, and none of it is complicated.

Step by Step, What Actually Happens

You call and a person answers. Carrie, our Office Manager, asks what you are dealing with and takes your name, address, phone, and email. That is the whole first call.

We either come look, or we schedule the treatment. If you are not sure what you have, we book a free inspection. If you already know, you have seen the roaches, you have been bitten, we can put the treatment straight on the schedule instead of charging you for a visit that confirms what you already know.

Zach still tries to take that first visit himself. Nobody is going to care as much as the owner does, and a hard situation is easier to sort out when the person who can make the call is in the room. He would rather make the first impression himself. He cannot always be the one who goes. When he is not, it is Dylan, our General Manager, or a senior technician, working the same way.

The treatment is done for the pest you actually have. We check entry points, vacuum, flush, bait, set monitors, and seal gaps bigger than a dime. That is the backbone of our residential pest control work, and the pest sets the follow-up schedule, not us.

We tell you what we found and what we did. Before we leave, in plain language: what we saw, what we treated, and what to watch for.

We come back on the schedule the pest sets. On a quarterly or monthly plan, callbacks between those scheduled visits are free on that plan, so a flare-up in week six is a phone call rather than an invoice.

How Commercial Accounts Are Handled Differently

Commercial usually skips the inspection. When a property manager, program manager, or restaurant operator calls and already knows there are roaches in unit 12, the job goes straight onto the schedule.

The reason is simple arithmetic. An extra visit to confirm what the caller already told us costs the manager a day of their time and leaves the tenant another day with the problem. We would rather spend that day treating.

The walkthrough that does happen is a different thing. When we do walk a property first, we are counting units and mapping access: which doors, which keys, which mechanical rooms, what a technician can reach and when. That is a scoping visit, not a diagnosis, because commercial programs are quoted on unit count plus technician time and drive time.

How Bed Bug Jobs Are Verified

Bed bug work runs on its own track. A bed bug heat treatment runs a full 24 hours on electric heat. The crew sets heaters, fans, and sensors one day and returns the next day to shut it down. We target 135 degrees, and bed bugs die in minutes near 118.

Heat and chemical run together unless you are against chemicals outright, in which case the heat runs alone.

If you cannot be out of the house for 24 hours, tell us in the quote form. The full electric heat treatment is the deepest method and it is what we lead with, but it is not the only one we run. A propane treatment brings the time you are out down to 8 hours. If 8 is still too much, a steam and chemical treatment asks for 4 to 6 hours out. Those are real options for a real schedule, not a lesser version of the job. Send the details first, and we will call to confirm which one fits. Where heat is not practical at all, in large open spaces and doctors' offices, the job is chemical or steam-plus-chemical instead.

Then someone outside this company checks the work. After a bed bug job, an independent canine detection team inspects the dwelling and confirms whether it is clear. That is outside confirmation, not our own word for it. The same team runs a termite dog we have access to, so termite work can be verified the same way.

That confirmation is what starts the clock. The 30-day warranty on a bed bug job begins when the dwelling is confirmed clear, not on the day we set the heaters. Until then, we keep coming back until the bed bugs are gone.

What We Stand Behind

There are two different things here, and most companies blur them. The Alpha-Dog Promise sets both out in full.

The 30-day warranty covers bed bug treatments. What makes it worth something is when it starts. It begins once the independent canine inspection confirms the dwelling is clear, not on the day of the first treatment. A warranty that starts at the first treatment is counting down while you still have the problem. We keep coming back until the bed bugs are gone, and only then does the clock start.

Every other pest is protected by the schedule instead. Ants, roaches, rodents, mosquitoes and termites come back with the season or the weather, and a 30-day window would end long before the pressure did. So the answer for those is a quarterly or monthly plan, and callbacks between scheduled visits are free on that plan. That is what standing behind the work looks like on a pest that never actually leaves the county.

"Gone" is independently verified on bed bug work. The canine team makes that call. On everything else it means the crew and the monitors are showing nothing, and the job stays open until those checks are clear.
